Wave 6 of the COVID-19 survey took place in November. Wave 7 is currently in the field and a further wave of data collection is planned for March.
The COVID-19 study is a regular survey of households in the UK which aims to enable research on the socio-economic and health consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. The first wave was carried out online in April 2020, with subsequent waves in May, June, July and September.
Data from annual Understanding Society interviews collected in 2019 are now included in the COVID-19 data, allowing researchers to compare earlier answers and explore the longer-term impact of COVID-19.
What’s in Wave 6?
This data release includes modules on:
- long-term health conditions
- loneliness
- financial security
- mental health
- life satisfaction
- neighbourhood cohesion
Full details on the COVID-19 data, including questionnaires, field work documents, dataset variables and an updated user guide are in the data and documentation area.
The dataset can be downloaded from the UK Data Service.
The COVID-19 survey is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and The Health Foundation. Fieldwork for the survey is carried out by Ipsos Mori and Kantar.
