Wave 5 of the COVID-19 survey was completed by our participants in September. The COVID-19 study is a regular survey of households in the UK with the aim of enabling research on the socio-economic and health consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. Data from annual Understanding Society interviews collected in 2019 are also included in the COVID-19 data release, allowing researchers to explore the longer-term impact of COVID-19 on study participants.

What’s included in Wave 5?

This data relase includes modules on:

  • Coronavirus illness
  • Management of long-term health conditions
  • Fertility intentions
  • Loneliness
