New Insights report highlights how participants are making a difference

By taking part in Understanding Society, you’re helping the UK become a better place to work, live and study and our latest publication, Insights 2016 highlights the latest examples of the Study’s influence.

This report will be used by policymakers to understand what problems there are in the UK and how they can provide solutions.

This year’s Insights report focuses on four key areas:

By following the lives of everyone in your household, data from Understanding Society are a vital resource for understanding stability and change in different aspects of people’s lives such as family, moving in and out of employment, educational achievement and health – and how different government policies impact on them.

The hour or so you spend each year helping us on the study provides a significant contribution to a huge amount of research on a wide range of topics.
