Main survey variable: agechy_dv Age of youngest child in household

Age of youngest child in household

The age of the youngest child in the household is computed as the minimum age of children under 16. Households without children are coded as inapplicable [-8]. Households containing one or more children with missing age are coded as missing [-9]. Whether or not a person with missing age is a child in this age group is established on the basis of the interview outcome code “child under 10”, and by whether or not an adult in the household is responsible adult of the person.
