PNO of person responsible for child under 16

Person number of person responsible for child under 16. In most cases the biological mother is considered the responsible adult. If she is not present in the household, the following others are assigned the role in that priority order: biological father, step or adoptive mother, step or adoptive father, grandmother, grandfather, foster mother, foster father. In some cases, none of the above others are present. In this case the variable assumes the code recorded in the household grid during the interview.
