Ethnic group membership (long version) (BHPS)
This records the ethnic group of a BHPS sample member. This question was first asked in Wave 13 of the BHPS of all adult respondents and after that only if that was their first interview. This question corresponded to the 2001 Census ethnic group question. This version was not asked in UKHLS and so this not available for sample members who joined as part of UKHLS, or those who were not interviewed after Wave 12 of the BHPS.

Derived variable note:
