Summary

We have published a new collection of the latest research from across ISER and the University of Essex’s Institute of Public Health and Wellbeing, focussed on mental health insights from 2021-2024. The Report was launched at an event for health practitioners, support agencies and third sector organisations from across Essex, Working Towards Inclusivity in Mental Health, in Colchester. The Research Report includes studies on the impact of the pandemic on mental health from our ESRC Research Centre on Micro-social Change and research using data from Understanding Society, the UK Household Longitudinal Study. The Research Report covers: 1) Health inequalities and social determinants of mental health; 2) Stress, trauma and resilience; 3) Pyschosocial approaches and rights-based mental health care; 4) Inclusive involvement, participation and voice; 5) Social prescribing, green care and exercise.
