Registration for Understanding Society’s Scientific Conference is now open
The registration for the Understanding Society Scientific Conference to be held from 21-23rd July at the University of Essex is now open.
The Understanding Society Scientific Conference provides an international forum for the exchange of research based on longitudinal data; in particular using household panel studies. An important aim of the event is to bring together people from different disciplines and to share research covering a broad range of themes.
This year’s second biennial conference has a rich and varied programme. Poster sessions, workshops and social events will complement plenary and parallel sessions. Specialised training courses are also being held in the same week so delegates can take full advantage of their visit to the University of Essex. An overview of the programme and summary of drop-in sessions is available.
Over 70 presentations
Michaela Benzeval, deputy director for Understanding Society comments,
“This year, the Understanding Society Scientific Conference is set to be its best yet, with 70 presentations, a range of workshops, 20 poster sessions and two high-profile plenary speakers scheduled into the programme.
“Understanding Society covers a wide range of topics and this is reflected in the conference papers which cover health, income, employment, the environment, transport, families and survey methodology to name a few,” she says.
